Who this policy covers

This policy covers the Fynema mobile app and this website, operated by Agleo (Istanbul, Türkiye). Questions: [email protected].

What we collect

Account: email address or Sign in with Apple identifier, username and optional avatar.
Library and reactions: watchlist, watched titles, shows you're watching or following, episode progress and your card reactions.
Preferences: chosen genres, streaming services, language/region and notification settings.
AI chats: messages you send to AI Buddy and the taste signals derived from them.
Imported files: watch records in exports you upload from Letterboxd, IMDb or TV Time.
Community content: posts, comments, reactions, reports and blocks.
Device: a push token to send notifications; basic technical logs for debugging.
Purchases: subscription and token balance status. Payments are processed by Apple; we never see your payment details.

Why we use it

To give you personal picks and build your Taste DNA,
to store your series progress and send new episode/season alerts,
to let AI Buddy answer in context,
to keep the community safe (moderation, reports and blocks),
to verify subscription and token entitlements,
to run, secure and improve the service.

We don't sell your data. Preferences derived from private AI chats never flow into your public profile.

Service providers

TMDB: movie/TV catalogue data. No personal data is sent to TMDB.
OpenAI: processing AI Buddy chats. Chat text is sent to this provider to generate replies.
Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google): push notification delivery.
Apple: Sign in with Apple and App Store purchases.
Advertising: if ads are shown in the free tier, the ad provider will be named in this policy and your consent will be requested for personalised ads.

Data sources and attribution

This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB. Streaming availability data is provided by JustWatch.

We get catalogue information from TMDB and streaming availability from TMDB data provided by JustWatch. Your name, email, watch history or any other personal data is never sent to TMDB or JustWatch in these requests; they are made from our servers using title identifiers and region only.

Retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can permanently delete your account inside the app; you're signed out immediately and your personal data is deleted or anonymised. Records we must keep by law (e.g. purchase records) are retained for the required period.

Your rights

Under GDPR and Turkish KVKK you can access, correct, delete, object to processing of and port your data. You can correct or reset the AI's taste assumptions from the Taste DNA screen. For requests, write to [email protected].

Children

Fynema is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

We may update this policy. We'll announce significant changes in the app or on this page.
